I am a Medaille College alumnus.  The degrees I have earned include:  Associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology, Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Master’s degree in psychology.  I am currently a licensed veterinary technician at a local small animal hospital.  My future goals include becoming a veterinarian.

I decided to become part of Project Green Light to help others see the importance of protecting our environment. I would like to help our community take steps toward improving the area we live in. Teaching fellow students about the environment will hopefully inspire others to lead their communities and schools toward a greener future.

I am now a Medaille College alumnus who wants to give back to the campus.  I graduated in 2005 with my Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology, 2007 with my Bachelor’s degree in Biology and summer of 2008 with my Master’s degree in Psychology.  I have been working as a Veterinary Technician for 3 years at a local small animal hospital.  My dream is to become a Veterinarian someday.  I joined Project Green Light because I want to try make others aware of the current environmental issues.  I also want to help save whats left of the environment so that future generations can enjoy it.

I am now a senior and a biology major, just graduated with my vet tech associate degree and am employed as a vet tech at a clinic near home. My long term goals are constantly changing - I’m thinking I would like to go to school for environmental studies after Medaille, or maybe just work for my master’s in biology and after that who knows? In my free time I enjoy playing guitar and want to start voice lessons. I got involved in project green light because I want to do my part to make a difference in the world and to ensure that if I ever have children, they have a future to look forward to. By doing this project I hope to establish not only better recycling habits at Medaille but to educate the community as to how important recycling is so that they too can do their part to protect our earth.

I just graduated with my associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology, and I’m currently working on a bachelor’s degree in Biology. I am currently employed at the Animal Clinic of Chardon in Chardon, OH as a Veterinary Technician. I got involved in Project Greenlight because I was raised to fully appreciate the outdoors. Most of my childhood was spent in state parks and I want children to be raised the same way for many years to come. I’ve always been interested in environmental issues, especially global warming and recycling. After observing the amount of uneccessary garbage produced by my college and work place, I felt the need to become proactive. I’m hoping that, by joining together for a common cause, the members of Project Greenlight will be able to make a significant difference in the Buffalo area and hopefully set a positive example for surrounding cities.

Ashley says: I am a veterinary technology and biology major at Medaille College in my fifth year. I am thoroughly involved in two important clubs: Life Sciences Club and Student Government Association. These clubs have influenced me into becoming a better leader. Once I graduate and go into something science-related, I would hope the training I have received from being a part of these clubs would help me. I have one quite different interest. I am extremely into body modifications, but in the contrary I am a science nerd. It’s alll in good fun. This proves to never judge a book by its cover. In regards to the Green Light Project, I joined because over the course of this past school year (thanks to my roommate) I became very fond of recycling anything I could. As far as I can remember though, I have a passion for protecting the environment, especially global warming. So joining the Green Light Project is my first step towards protecting the environment, besides my personal responsibilities I do in my own time (recycling). Being a part of this project, I hope to future emphasize how important it is to recycle, because in the long run it will help our environment.

Chris Devlin says, “I have an associate degree in Veterinary technology and am working on my bachelor’s degree. I enjoy being outside and tinkering with engines. I became involved in the Green Light Project because it is hard to make a difference alone, and here’s a group that works in numbers. I hope to raise an awareness to the community about how important recycling actually is.

Corey is enrolled in the pre-vet program at Medaille College, and after graduation he hopes to attend veterinary school somewhere nearby and if not, he will work in private practice for a year before reapplying. His goals in veterinary school are to attain DVM status and possibly complete a post-doc to work in research afterward.

“I became involved because the world needs leaders to make a difference, or at least initiate it. I have never particularly been interested in saving the environment until recently when this organization opened my eyes to the world of problems related to recycling and our environment. Now that I understand what needs to be done, I can place my heart and soul into making those essential changes, with the help of my peers within this organization of course.

“I hope to enlighten the world around me and inform the naive citizens of the changes that can be made to help our world stay green.”
