Medaille College has named Chris LeFevre as the women’s soccer team head coach.
As the fourth head coach in the program’s history, LeFevre will take over for Dan Krzyzanowicz, who coached the Lady Mavs from 2004-07 and compiled a 42-33-3 record in four seasons.
Pete Lonergan, director of athletics and head women’s basketball coach, says, “I am delighted to welcome Chris LeFevre to our Athletic Department. He brings an excellent background and coaching credentials that will suit him well in his new position with us. Hiring a new head coach, devoted exclusively to women’s soccer, is another indication of our commitment to excellence for all our programs.”
LeFevre brings a wealth of athletics knowledge and a record of coaching success to the women’s soccer team. He worked as an assistant men’s coach at Canisius College before moving on to Genesee Community College. He served as head coach of the men’s program for three seasons and the head women’s coach for two years. He compiled a 40-17-1 record with the men’s team and led them to the 2006 Regional Final Four and the 2007 Western New York Athletic Conference Championship. As women’s coach, his teams went 20-15-0, reached the Regional Final Four, and won the Western New York Athletic Conference Championship.
LeFevre has coached three All-American, 12 All-Region, and 18 All-Conference players. He earned his Advanced National Diploma through the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). He has a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management from Adelphi University and a Master’s of Science in Sports Administration from Canisius College. Chris and his wife Betsy reside in Akron, NY.
