Dr. Illana Lane has been named Dean of the School of Education at Medaille College, which includes undergraduate and graduate programs in Buffalo and Amherst. She has taught at Medaille since 2001, and in 2009, she took over the responsibilities of Acting Dean of the School of Education. Dr. Lane earned a Ph.D. in the social foundations of education from the University at Buffalo, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Education in the Amherst Central School District. She is also on the executive board for NYSATE, the New York State Association of Teacher Educators.
