As part of a series of events to celebrate Founders’ Day, Medaille College hosted four guests for a symposium on service on Wednesday, April 14.
Drawing from their experience in directing and participating in volunteer efforts in western New York, the panelists shared powerful and informative lessons about the value of service and the commitment of Buffalo’s residents to their community.

Rich Jureller ’96, manager of community development for the Buffalo Sabres, Michele Magaris Majstorovic, director of special projects for the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, David McNamara, managing partner at Phillips Lytle, and Major Andrea Pitruzzella ’08, public affairs officer of the 914th Airlift Wing at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station, shared how they and their organizations work to benefit the people and other service agencies in WNY, and responded to questions from students and faculty.
