The fifth book of poetry by Ethan Paquin, associate professor of humanities, has been accepted for publication. CLOUD VS. CLOUD will appear from Ahsahta Press, a well-regarded nonprofit poetry press based at the Boise State University in Idaho, in May 2012. Paquin’s last book with Ahsahta Press, The Violence (2005), was runner-up for the Poetry Society of America’s William Carlos Williams Award.
All five of Paquin’s books have been published during his eight-year tenure at Medaille College, something for which he says speaks to the vibrancy of liberal arts at Medaille.
“We have a solid core of creative writers, in terms of both students and faculty, at the College,” said Paquin. “I’m proud to be part of that group, which brings attention to and reflects well upon the institution as a whole.”
