The Sport Management program hosted Frank Layden, a former NBA coach of the Utah Jazz, on Monday, November 16. This informal discussion connected current undergraduate sport management students with an individual who has extensive knowledge of the sport management industry, as a player, coach, executive and consultant.
Layden began as head coach of the Utah Jazz in 1981, and moved to the team’s front office during the 1988-89 season. He earned NBA’s Coach of the Year honors in 1984, and is known as one of the most quotable figures in basketball.
The event will take place at Medaille’s Buffalo Campus in the Main Building Lecture Hall.
