Dr. Bowker Publishes Paper on Terrorism and the Absurd
Dr. Matt Bowker
Dr. Matt Bowker’s article “The Absurdity of Terror” was published in a special issue of Clio’s Psyche (vol. 16, no. 2), a journal of psycho-history, dedicated to the political psychology of remembering the attacks of 9/11.
The paper combines philosophical and literary study with the analysis of data from qualitative interviews in which individuals described absurd, troubling, and violent experiences and memories. Dr. Bowker teaches in the interdisciplinary studies and humanities departments.
