Weather-Related Campus Closing Procedures
In the event of Medaille College closing campuses or cancelling classes due to weather or road conditions, students and employees should the tune into the local media outlets (listed below) for specific closing information about each campus.
Students and employees should also sign up for the emergency notification system, available through a form at www.medaille.edu/alert, in order to receive immediate text messages, emails and phone messages to home/work/cell numbers in the event of a campus closing. Notices will also be posted to the college’s home page at www.medaille.edu, on this news web site, and on Medaille’s Twitter and Facebook accounts.
Classes will close independently for day, evening and weekend classes, and for the Buffalo Campus, Amherst Campus, and Rochester Campus. If day classes are canceled, do not assume evening classes are canceled.
In addition to announcements made in the media, you may call Medaille College’s Campus Public Safety at (716) 880-2911 for an update on closing information and/or class cancellations due to inclement weather, or watch the Medaille web sites for details.
