Medaille Prelude Establishes Online Presence
Medaille Prelude, the student journal of visual and literary arts, has created a web site to continually publish student work.
“I think the direction in which the students will take Prelude is exciting. As an online journal, it gets to evolve as the year progresses,” said Ethan Paquin, associate professor of humanities. “The new incarnation of Prelude provides the opportunity for students to engage in an interactive, year-long artistic dialogue. I’m confident the staff will assemble a journal that highlights the creativity abundant at our school.”
Mike Thomas ‘09 will serve as editor-in-chief for Prelude. As a photographer and graphic artist by trade, his work is shown in private and public venues in Western New York; Thomas was also Visual Arts editor of Prelude in 2007-08. Amanda Kraft ‘10 will be the literary editor. Kraft is majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in English, and enjoys writing fiction and studying poetry, especially that of William Carlos Williams and Maya Angelou.
