New Full-Time Faculty Announced for 2008-09

Four new full-time faculty have joined Medaille College for the 2008-09 academic year.

Rui Chen was appointed visiting assistant professor of business. Chen is a Ph.D. candidate in management science and systems at the University at Buffalo. He earned a master’s in computer science from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Hangshou Institute of Electronic Engineering in China. He is also a certified Microsoft Systems Engineer and Microsoft Database Administrator.

Tom OrrangeThomas Orrange has served as a visiting instructor in the Medaille College Library since October 2007, and will continue with an appointment as a tenure-track librarian. He holds a master’s degree in library science from the University at Buffalo and a bachelor’s degree in history from D’Youville College. Orrange will also coordinate graduate and adult library services at Medaille’s Amherst Campus.

Larry RobinsonLarry Robinson was appointed clinical assistant professor for the Accelerated Learning Program in Rochester. He earned a bachelor’s degree in speech and theater and a master of architecture degree from the University at Buffalo, and a master’s degree in speech and theatre from the University of Florida. He taught for more than ten years at Erie Community College, and has worked for over thirty years as a teacher, administrator and independent consultant in the fields of strategic planning, leadership development, team building and organizational behavior.

Eileen St. John was appointed visiting assistant professor of literacy in the School of Education. St. John is completing an Ed.D. at the University of Pittsburg. She earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. St. John has twenty years’ experience teaching in K-12 and collegiate settings.
