Athletes of the Week: March 3, 2008
Amanda Baker (Sr. – Lyons, NY/Women’s Basketball) led the Lady Mavs to a third-straight AMCC Tournament Championship as she posted 32 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in their two games. In the championship game she was dominating as she had 18 points and pulled down 15 boards, both were game highs.
In their first-ever AMCC postseason appearance the Mavs went 1-1 and were led by James McNeil (Sr. – Erie, PA/Men’s Basketball) as he scored 32 points and grabbed 10 boards in two games. In a heartbreaking semifinal loss to Lake Erie he led the way posting 25 points while connecting on 6 three pointers.
