Athletes of the Week: January 14, 2008
In two huge conference wins Amanda Baker (Sr. – Lyons, NY/Women’s Basketball) scored 41 points and pulled down 20 boards for the Lady Mavs. Their winning streak stands at 11 games and they remained a perfect 5-0 in AMCC play. For her efforts she was also named the AMCC Player of the Week.
In a tough week for the Mavs, Ryan Murdie (So. – Kenmore, NY/Men’s Volleyball) was terrific as he registered 24 kills while only making 2 errors for a .537 kill %. He also came up with a team high 10 blocks on the defensive side.
