Carr Named Runner of the Year by the Buffalo News
Allison Carr, the Mavericks cross country coach, was named the Buffalo News Runner of the Year 2007. This is the highest distinction for local runners, and 2007 marks the fourth time in five years that Carr has won the title. She also has a Rochester Runner of the Year (2004) award under her belt.
Carr became the Mavs cross country team coach during the 2006 season and has moved the program forward as a result of her efforts. She will look to make the Olympic Qualifiers in 2008.
