Men’s Soccer Advances to AMCC Final
The Medaille College men’s soccer team will head to its third straight AMCC final after defeating fifth-seeded Frostburg State Bobcats (3-0) in the conference semifinal game. The Mavs dictated play throughout the contest, with Eric Schnirel (West Amherst, NY/Sweet Home) scoring at the 31:30 mark off an assist from Kendell McFayden (Williamsville, NY/Williamsville North). McFayden scored the Mavs’ next two goals, including one with less than five minutes left in the game. Goalkeeper J.J. Bilinski (Panama, NY/Panama) stopped Frostberg’s four attempts at goal.
The Mavs will take their 16-1-2 record into the AMCC final as they play Penn State-Behrend in the championship game on Saturday, November 3 at 6 p.m. at All High Stadium in Buffalo.
