Fight Like a Girl

Fight Like A GirlMedaille College will host the Fight Like a Girl event on Tuesday, November 13. Two sessions, one at 3 p.m. and another at 4 p.m., will offer free self-defense techniques, basic self-awareness, and information every woman should know in order to protect herself.

The class emphasizes prevention and awareness, and teaches basic street self-defense techniques. It will consist of easy warm-up exercises, followed by helpful strategies, learning how to recognize, assess and avoid assault prone situations. Participants will practice some easy-to-learn physical self-protection and escaping techniques. The instructors will teach how to settle feelings of fear and panic with proper breathing, and how to use assertive voice control. The program is open to women and girls age 18 and older.
