Paquin Reads at San Francisco International Poetry Festival
Ethan Paquin, assistant professor of English, gave several poetry readings in San Francisco as the American representative (along with Kathleen Fraser) to the 5th San Francisco International Poetry Festival, held from October 11-14.
Paquin, whose fourth book of poems, My Thieves, was released by noted publisher Salt in March 2007, read at the University of San Francisco on Oct. 12; Pegasus Bookstore in Berkeley, CA, on Oct. 13; and the famed City Lights Bookstore on Oct. 14.
This year’s festival hosted poets from the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.S., and was co-sponsored by the San Francisco offices of several international consulates and cultural institutes, along with local literary arts organizations.
