Lavatelli’s Work Featured in ‘October Surprise’ Exhibition
With the anniversary of last year’s October storm approaching, Mark Lavatelli, professor of humanities, has joined four other local artists in producing an exhibition of artwork to commemorate the trees of Buffalo.
An opening reception will be held at the Allen Street Hardware Store Cafe, 245 Allen Street, Buffalo , on Friday, October 12, from 6 - 9 p.m. Other featured artists include Dot Keller, Elizabeth Leader, Michael Morgulis and Mary Ann Lavin Rogers.
A percentage of all the proceeds from sales of the artwork will benefit The Buffalo Green Fund, Inc., a not-for-profit agency working to restore trees to public areas in the City of Buffalo. The exhibition will remain on view at the Allen Street Hardware Store Cafe until November 10, 2007.
