Overnight Roadwork to Impact Scajaquada Traffic
Beginning next Tuesday, September 11, 2007, the New York State Department of Transportation will begin construction work and repaving of the Scajaquada Expressway, Route 198. As a result of this work there will be traffic restrictions and closures every night from 7:00 p.m.- 6:00 a.m. on September 11, 12, 13, 14 and 17.
See this area on Google Maps. Please take note of the following dates, as the Route 198 Expressway will have shut downs and posted detours, at night, for milling and resurfacing from Delaware Ave to the Main Street bridge:
Tuesday, Sept 11- Route 198 Eastbound
Mill surface from Delaware Ave to Parkside Ave.
One lane restricted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Full closure from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Delaware Ave to Parkside
Wednesday, Sept 12 - Route 198 Eastbound
Pave surface from Delaware Ave to Parkside Ave.
One lane restricted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Full closure from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Delaware Ave to Parkside
Wednesday, Sept 12 - Route 198 Westbound

Parkside traffic will be allowed to cross Rte 198 and permitted to turn left onto Rte 198 Eastbound. Rte 198 Eastbound traffic will be forced to exit at Main Street.
Friday, Sept 14 - Route 198 Eastbound
Pave surface from Parkside to Main Street bridge
One lane restricted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Full closure from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Delaware Ave to Parkside
Multiple lane closures Parkside to Main Street exit
Parkside traffic will be allowed to cross Rte 198 and permitted to turn left onto Rte 198 Eastbound.
Rte 198 Eastbound traffic will be forced to exit at Main Street.
Friday, Sept 14 - Route 198 Westbound
Mill surface from Main Street to Parkside Ave
One lane restricted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Full closure from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Main Street to Delaware Ave
Monday, Sept 17 - Route 198 Westbound
Pave surface from Main Street bridge to Parkside Ave.
One lane restricted from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Full closure from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Main Street to Delaware Ave
Route 198 Eastbound Detour
Traffic will be directed to exit at Delaware Ave - South and follow detour to W. Delevan , Main and re-enter at Main Street/ Humboldt Parkway.
As it is scheduled, these closures will also be in place Tuesday, Sept. 11 through Friday, Sept. 14.
Cross traffic will be maintained at Parkside with the assistance of construction flaggers and NYS Police. Vehicles will be allowed to turn left from Parkside onto Rte 198 Eastboundbut will be forced to exit at Main Street and follow detour to the Humboldt ramp to Rte 198 Eastbound.
Route 198 Westbound Detour
Traffic will be directed to exit at Main Street and follow detour Main Street, W. Delevan, Delaware Ave Northbound and enter Route 198 at Delaware.
Parkside traffic will be directed to turn left onto Route 198 Eastbound and exit at Main Street and follow the posted detour as noted above.
Paving operations are impacted by weather and rain delays will change the schedule.
